Rock Hall announces free summer series
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame announced the lineup for the 2012 Summer in the City Concert Series yesterday, and the free shows in the plaza of Cleveland’s great glass pyramid are boasting a great mix of national buzzworthy bands paired with some of the best local acts.
Kudos to the Rock Hall for putting this together for the third year in a row. Catching a band you love in the outdoors of downtown Cleveland is an experience not to pass up.
Cleveland-gone national act Cloud Nothings kicks the series off with Herzog, who I hope you’ve noticed if you’re a fan of local acts. The rest of the lineup is filled with a blend of sludge metal, synth rock, folk, psychedelic rock and more.
Here’s the full lineup:
Wednesday, July 11 at 7 p.m.: Cloud Nothings with Herzog
Wednesday, July 25 at 7 p.m.: Torche with Ohio Sky
Wednesday, August 1 at 7 p.m.: Bear in Heaven and Mr. Gnome
Wednesday, August 22 at 7 p.m.: Sharon Van Etten with Bethesda
