Lamb of God, Dethklok and Gojira team up for summer tour

You may have read the headline and just thought to yourself ‘Holy shit! Lamb of God, Dethklok and Gojira are are all coming together?’ Well, consider those pants shat because it’s all true. These three superstar, heavy metal groups are sure to be one of this summer’s most talked about tours for a variety of reasons as all these groups have plenty going on.

Lamb of God released their highly anticipated sixth studio album (excluding their 1999 Burn the Priest record for all you trivia gurus) Resolution earlier this year, which kicked some serious ass on the metal charts. Meanwhile, French tech/prog metal masters Gojira are slated to let loose L’Enfant Sauvage, their fifth studio album, this June. Finally, unless you’re not an avid fan of Adult Swim, you probably already know Dethklok — the metal cartoon-supergroup brainchild of Metalocalypse creators Brendon Small and Tommy Blacha — just began season 4, with new episodes airing on Cartoon Network every Sunday. What’s more, Small has indicated in past interviews he’s interested in releasing a third Dethklok album in light of the new material written for the new episodes. That ultimately means more Dethklok concerts may be on the horizon as that new material is promoted, which is great news for fans since the band hasn’t played many shows in the last couple years.

The metal trio begins its nearly seven-week tour together in August, so plan accordingly as there will be a rather finite selection of dates to make. Fortunately, while the tour won’t be passing through Northeast Ohio, it will be making a stop at the Lifestyle Communities Pavilion in Columbus, so save up that gas fare. Here’s a list of other tour dates so far courtesy of the fine folks at Lambgoat:
