The Black Keys coming to Cleveland
Akron’s pride and joy will be coming back to Northeast Ohio in a few months. The Black Keys will be performing at The Quicken Loans arena with the Arctic Monkeys on March 20. I wonder how it will feel for them to play in a stadium that they probably watched the Cavs (or the Jacks, or
the Crunch…) play in when they were younger.
Tickets aren’t on sale yet, but here’s hoping they won’t be $50, as shows at the Q tend to be. Hopefully they’ve made enough money in Zales (or Victoria’s Secret, or Sony…) commercials to keep the ticket prices reasonable.
As much as people want to hate on The Black Keys for “selling out,” their new album El Camino rocks just as hard as ever. They’ve been keeping busy on the TV circuit promoting the album, with last week’s appearance on “Saturday Night Live,” tonight’s appearance on “The Colbert Report,” and they’ll be on Letterman tonight. Check out their SNL performance of “Lonely Boy” below.
