DOOM
DOOM is taking over Nasty Fancy lately. Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood of Radiohead recently collaborated with DOOM for a track for the 10th anniversary of Lex Records. It will be included on an anniversary compilation record from Lex. The track is called “Retarded Fren.” I think musicians are running out of names for their projects (I’m looking at you, Damon Albarn).
It’s pretty much exactly what you would expect. Yorke and Greenwoods ominous, ambient electric tones, with DOOMs laid back, nearly monotone vocals. They’re a pretty good fit for eachother.
