Mister Heavenly coming to Cleveland

About a year ago, an indie super group was formed. Super groups have a pretty low success rate, so you may be wary when I say that. he super group in question is made up of Nick Thorburn (Islands, The Unicorns), Ryan Kattner (aka Honus Honus of Man Man) and Joe Plummer (Modest Mouse). Oh, and Michael Cera (of Arrested Development and Juno fame) is their touring bassist.
Not to worry, this particular super group hits the mark in every way. You can hear the influence of every member’s respective bands; the snarly organs of Man Man, the surf-inspired guitar of Islands, the folky yet aggressive Modest Mouse.
And they’re coming to Cleveland! No word yet on whether Michael Cera will be attending, ladies.
They’ll be at the Grog Shop on November 15. Here’s the eponymous track from their first album, Out Of Love.
