Nasty Fancy

We’re all prone to a little bit of tech issues now and then. Case and point: BoomBox at VexFest 8. The Alabama dance/jam duo blew the main stage’s power not once, but twice before they were able to get the ball rolling and the crowd grooving.
The delay did little to hamper the energy BoomBox brings to their live shows.

A lot of new material was played by BoomBox at the free Youngstown, Oh. music fest as well, and one of those songs can be seen and heard in our video. The band is gearing up to release a new album this fall, titled Lost Ya. Lost Ya will be BoomBox’s third release. In a little chat before their set, Zion Godchaux, the duo’s singer and guitarist, said Lost Ya is now in the mixing phase.

DJ/producer Russ Randolph is the other half of BoomBox. Apparently, these dudes are on a roll coming off of their last release, downriverelectric, which has been out for a just little longer than a year now (five years after their first album dropped.)

I’ve got a good chunk of footage from the whole festival as well, which is viewable in a “Best of VexFest 8″ video.
