Professor Greenhouse and ALBUM Coming To The Stone Tavern
Based out of Kent, Professor Greenhouse has been gaining some momentum recently. They’ve been playing shows all around Northeast Ohio, Ithaca (New York), and the Niki Feezle Cystic Fibrosis Explosion of Hope Festival (catchy!) in Petersburg, Ohio.
For full disclosure here, the drummer, Bob Vocak, is my roommate at the moment, so I’ve gotten to hear Professor Greenhouse play in my basement for quite a while now. But no matter how many times I hear them, whether they’re playing a basement, a bar, or a festival, they get heads bobbing and feet moving with their energetic take on blues and rock ‘n’ roll.
ALBUM require very little explanation. They are described simply as “Heavy Metal Rock N Roll,” and, well, there’s not much to argue there. They recently finished up their “No Bones About It” tour of Ohio and Michigan, so they are well-practiced and ready to tear up The Stone Tavern. The band consists of Winfield Dray on guitar, Jason Hopkins on bass, and Josh Hopkins on drums. Their mission is simple: to rock your face off. And they will succeed. Check on some tracks on their Facebook and Myspace.
Once more, the show is this Saturday, July 30, at the Stone Tavern in Kent. It will start around 10 p.m. Grab a drink and rock out with no reservations.
