Kent band Octolope throwing CD release bash at the Zephyr tonight
Local rockers Octolope are releasing their newly finished first album, Grown So Cold, at the Zephyr Pub in Kent tonight, and slugging out some heavy riffs to celebrate. The show is free, and the CD is cheap, so get off your ass and go check them out tonight. It’s going to raucous in a good way.
Below is the lead-in track off Grown So Cold, “Sharp Claws Against Sharp Flesh.” If you head over to Octolope’s Bandcamp site, you can listen through the full album before heading out.
The thunderous four-piece group consists of Josh Weiss on guitar and vocals, Justin Seeker on the Moog synth, Brice Forman on drums and Marquis Milton on Bass.
Update: Octolope will play on the Zephyr’s third floor. The show begins at 10 p.m. with openers The Demon Beat, Stems and Maui and Papa kicking it off.
Patrick Sweany will also play at the Zephyr tonight. His set begins at 8 p.m. on the first floor.
